As a musician I have a worryingly lengthy history. Way back, aged 14, I won BBC Radio Two’s Choirgirl of the Year competition and went on to perform internationally, until the arrival of a couple of little people in my life. Some highlights I’ve loved best include singing with Anúna, Riverdance, performing at royal palace of Abu Dhabi, the Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury, Celtic Connections, The O2 arenas, starring as lead singer alongside Michael Flatley in his Feet of Flames stadium tour, singing with iconic band Fairport Convention and latterly creating and writing music for all-female group Legend. I now sing with my super talented multi-instrumentalist sister Anna and work with the incredible Josie McAuley in duo Rapt!

Along the way I compose music in any spare second; co-writing my debut solo album ‘The Last Rose’ with Musical Director of Riverdance, Cathal Synnott, mainly whilst on the road. We had the pleasure of working with some of Ireland’s top musicians on the album, mastered at Abbey Road.

I have worked as vocal coach and run workshops for shows in the UK and abroad. Helping singers flourish, grow in confidence and excel in their ambitions - from recording in studios and creating albums and websites, performing solos at school concerts to entering competitions such as The Voice UK - has been rewarding and inspiring. Since 2019 I have worked at leading girls’ school Roedean, teaching children with SEN and relishing the chance to make a difference; positively impacting students’ life experience, confidence, ability and opportunity.

PR WRITING.

After studying Music at City University, London and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I ventured into the world of marketing, having found a knack for the persuasive written word and communications. As a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, I studied with the Irish Academy of PR & Marketing at University College Dublin. Since then I love to work in PR when I can – driving projects forwards, gaining media coverage and awareness for many causes, companies, musicians and friends; from Gymboree, Ireland (first national music programme for children in Ireland) to North One, London (Land Rover, Jaguar & Aston Martin).

scotland.

As a musician and general person, I am greatly influenced by my heritage and the west coast of Scotland. It is a magical place with epic scenery, flamboyant Celtic culture, incredible traditional music and wonderfully warm, funny people. I escape to there in my mind when the madness becomes too much! I now run and rent out a lovely holiday house ‘Summit cottage’, so you can come and experience the west coast’s rejuvenating power for yourself
